Why do you have to eat a lot of calories to lose weight?
Don't u gain weight by eating more? I don't understand.
3500 calories to lose weight and 7000 to gain it?
Or is it 3500 calories to gain 2 pounds too?Because if you're losing weight then you lose muscle mass too and therefore it takes you 3500 calories to lose 2 pounds. muscle fat But if you're gaining weight does that mean you're gaining muscle weight too? But this weight is not harmful right? So it actually means you have to eat 7000 calories to gain 2 pounds of fat ?
Am i eating the right amount of calories to lose weight?
i need to lose a good 50 pounds. i weight about 200 pounds now. im female, 5'6, 21 years old. i am trying to do my best to eat right and workout to lose the weight in a healthy way. i used to have an eating disorder, so i have a skewed mindset on what a healthy amount of calories is. i did research, and many said that girls need 1200 calories everyday at least. so i told myself i would shoot for 1500 calories, but give myself a little wiggle room. i let myself fall anywhere between 1200 1700 calories.is this enough calories to lose weight but keep me healthy? i want to get enough nutrition, and i dont want to go into starvation mode.
Am I eating too may calories to lose weight?
Breakfast 2 eggs and a cup of greek yogurt.lunch banana and 3 tbsp of peanut butter.dinner LARGE raw squash, and 4 oz of chicken breast.I also drank alot of water.
Do you have to count your calories to lose weight?
I don't count calories at all and im trying to lose weight.I eat allot of healthy foods but some of the foods i eat, i believe have allot of calories like whole wheat cereals and peanut butter, almonds....but could eating those things make me not lose weight?
If my RMR is 2100 then I need to eat less than that in calories to lose weight right?
So I did all the calculations and came up with 2100. That includes the basic stuff to live with no exercise on top of it. Since weight lose is truly about calories burned > than calories eaten I would need to eat less than 2100 to lose weight? I was thinking of 1300 1500 depending on the day. None of this includes working out yet though. Thanks for any help.
Help! How many calories to lose weight HEALTHY!? ?
I am 5" 5' , female, 22 years old, 155 pounds. I always count my calories to lose weight, but I am in need of a GOOD, HEALTHY number to reach my goals. 1200 just won't do it for me.. I always feel deprived after a week. Also, I exercise alot. About 6 days a week, 45 min cardio, 15 20 min weight training. Thank you
Is 1500 to 1800 enough calories to lose weight if...?
If you are 5'6" and 320 lbs? I also walk around 2 miles a day, sometimes more which is a lot for me and I walk at a steady pace. I also use exercise bands for strength training. I don't want to be skinny, just healthy. So my goal weight is to be around 150 to 160 lbs which I used to be. I was thin, but not skinny.
Skipping calories to lose weight?
I've been counting calories to lose weight and have been successful. I had a bad binge the last couple days and ate WAY over my calories I am supposed to eat 1400 a day but I think I probably ate 2500 the past two days. I know skipping meals is bad b c it puts your body into starvation mode, but I am so full from all this food could I skip eating today or eat very very little and hopefully get those calories back that I ate over? What would be the best way to get back on track, b c i probably gained a pould or more
Am I burning enough Calories to lose weight?
I have been tracking my calorie intake, exercise, and progress on livestrong.com. It says today my net calories is 73. Do I burn 73 calories a day from just doing normal things? Such as walking around, moving, etc. What is a good goal for my net calories? If you don't know what net calories are they are the calories you have left after eating and exercising. Lets say I at 1000 calories, and I burned 950, I would have 50 net calories left.
Calories to lose weight?
I've lost weight since the summer, 124lbs to 113 I'm 5' 2" . The problem is that in the beginning the summer , I was excercising more, and eating less. But now that I don't have much time to exercise anymore, I'm not burning as many calories. Now, I'm eating more calories too. I went from averaging eating 1200 calories to 1500 1700 calories. I exercise everyday too, just not as long anymore. My goal weight is 105 108. In the summer. I'd jog for a total of around 60 minutes, but not all at the same time. Then, I'd do an hour of yoga, and an hour of hula hoop while reading a book. Now, I only have time to just jog for a total of 60 minutes a day. During the weekend, besides jogging, I also do yoga for 30 minutes. It's so much less exericse and I'm eating more. I'm afraid of gaining the weight back because of this. How many calories to you guys typically eat? How much exercise? Should I start try to eat 1200 calories again?
With everything you do, one burns calories. to lose weight one must burn more calories.?
if you eat this food, you will eat XXX calories making you have to exercise for 17 hours to burn off YY calories, resulting in the grand total of one pound of weight loss.my question is ........ what the frickenfrack is a calorie and how is a food found to have its calorie rating. what is the process that results in the final determination of " 1000 calories for a level tablespoonful of peanut butter." may or may not be a correct determination of caloric value. thank you
