Why do people with type 2 diabetes lose weight?
Aren't they suppose to gain weight, since obesity is a major risk factor for it? So are most people with T2D skinny, or why is it that fat people with T2D aren't skinny?

I am a 14 year old girl. I weigh 165 pounds, and I am 5 ft 5. I am really ugly, and FAT. Everybody says I am not fat, I am. Anyways. I was diagnosed with pre diabetes. Garunteeing I would get diabetes someday in my life. About a year ago I was given that diagnoses. I had a blood sugar of 9.7. So we went to the doctor who did some blood tests. So, until know, I had kinda forgotten about it I am needle phobic And the past week, I pee like 15 20 times a day I KNOW right? ? ?? and this is really embarrasing, but I nearly wet myself. I just am standing there. I basically just had went to the washroom and I suddenly have to go SO bad I am ALWAYS thirsty I guess that is why I pee so much and I just am SO tired So, WHAT is happening? I am going to get a blood test tomorrow. But, HOW CAN I LOSE WEIGHT? If I haven't already gotten diabetes, my parents said I need to lose weight not only to give me self confidence, but it may postpone the diabetes. My mom has diabetes. The one where you get needles. She was diagnosed at 16. Also, what is it I have heard about using your diabetes to lose weight. I think my friend is doing that. It must be like an eating disorder, but using your blood sugars? Anyways, HELP????? PLEASE FREAKING OUT
Has anyone on here with diabetes lost weight on a liquid diet and kept off the weight?
I had not seen my close friend in about 18 months. She has undergone a drastic change both physically and mentally. She went on a liquid diet and have lost more then 150 lbs. she exercised and ate an extremely low amount of calories. She's a type 2 diabetic. She used herbal supplements from GNC weight loss , exercised, took vitamins, took metformin insulin stablizer and is now pregnant as a resutl Im so proud of her. She said lost 152 lbs in 14 months and is 6 weeks pregnant. Is she in danger of putting the weight back on or can she continue with a low carb diet and still have a healthy baby? Opinions Please.
Diabetes losing weight?
I have been quite unwell lately. My blood sugar averages 300 on a good day, but most times creeps into the 500 range. I do try to control it with insulin, but yeah, obviously it's pretty bad. But my real question is I have had diarrhea for about 3 weeks non stop now, am losing weight and have been having a lot of lower back and severe pain in my legs and feet. All I was wondering could all this be related to the Diabetes or something else?

I'm type 1 diabetic but i wanna lose weight although i am not overweighti'm planning to eat 6 meals 60 50g of carbs aday and exercise for an hour and hopefully adjust my insulin accordingly to keep my bsl in range.is this a good plan and how much could i lose in a month or 2?i wanna lose it slowly but also notice change monthly wise???? Also is there any1 who has lost weight and how????
