Unintentional rapid weight loss?
Okay, so last week before my period my weight was 138 pounds, which is normal for me. Through my period it kind of dropped down to 135, but I wasn't really concerned about it. After the 4 days my period lasted, however, I continued to lose weight very rapidly, though I didn't notice until I weighed myself on Sunday, when I weighed 130. This morning I weighed myself and I am now down to 124 pounds. That's 14 pounds in about a week, and I have a feeling that's not really normal. Is there an explanation as to why I'm losing so much weight? I recently started on some antibiotics to treat a urinary tract infection, but from what I've read they shouldn't make you lose this much weight. Aside from weight loss I also have decreased appetite and constant nausea, but no diarrhea or constipation. Thanks.I definitely don't have an eating disorder I love food too much to have one, plus I could never make myself throw up to lose weight. I've been eating a little bit throughout the past week, but about two days ago the nausea sets in and now the thought of just eating makes me gag, I can barely eat without feeling like I'm gonna be sick, but of course I never am, which is a horrible feeling.

Question concerning rapid weight loss?
I am by no means a small person, I played football wrestling and weightlifting in high school so when i graduated and quit playing those sports i expected to lose some muscle and therefore lose some weight but that also doesn't mean i just sit on the couch all day. I still am semi active just not a serious as you would be if you were training for a sport. Recently i underwent surgery for numerous cysts throughout my body before the surgery i weighed in a 286 lbs and 6'5" tall the day after day after my surgery i weighed in at 285 which i didn't think much of since i hadnt eaten alot and they removed about a pound of the cysts. The days after my surgery all i've been doing is walking around the house and up and down the stairs occasionally also my diet instead has become limited to 3 smaller meals a day but they are still around 500 600 calories each. The day after that i weighed in again, this time i was 281 lbs. the next day i was 277 and today i weighed in at 274 lbs... i'm starting to worry because i don't feel any healthier but i also don't think i've lost 12 lbs of muscle in 4 days.Does anyone have any answer to why the weight is coming off so fast? i haven't been doing anything out of the normal just relaxing and recovering and eating smaller meals. but to lose 3 4 lbs a day doing nothing is almost unheard of i do not have a fast metabolism by any means Any help would be greatly appreciated since this is starting to worry me that there might be another cause to this.I have actually been drinking alot more water...before the surgery i would only drink around a glass or two a day but during the period where i've been losing the weight im easily drinking 40 50 oz

Ok, I am on the verge of turning 18, When I was early 17, I probably weighed 270 280, mid 16 I weighed anywhere between 280 300. I am presently flirting with the 230 mark fluctuating this past week or so between 5 pounds .However, I'm not excising or really even changing up my activity level. I don't think I'm eating any differently, though subconsciously or otherwise I am watching what I eat the more weight I lose choosing to forego an extra helping of whatever . With eating, I do find myself hungry increasingly hungry as it gets closer to mealtimes and then only eat small, not nec. unusually small, portions and I'm no longer hungry. Often at breakfast times I am extremely hungry, but after half of whatever I'm eating I'm usually satisfied.So, in approx. 12 months I've lost 70 pounds without trying. Is something up? Also, I weighed around 238lbs at the beginning of August. so I've lost 8 10 pounds in a month. I don't have irregular bowel movements Though at times I guess I would be somewhat constipated . I don't smoke, drink, or do drugs. I haven't started any new medications nor am I on any fixed medication. Though I wouldn't say I have had cramping, I have had uneasiness in my abdomen. Almost like I was sick, but not quite Perhaps gas or something like that. I obviously don't mind the weight loss having been obese for quite some time, but I don't want to be naive and cling to simplicity and pleasure if there is something bigger going on.My dad does have diabetes, but when I had a physical about a year ago I'm pretty sure they tested for diabetes and I came up negative. Does anyone know what this could be a sign of? I've googled my way around finding things relating diabetes, this disease, and that cancer. But nothing has been, obviously, pinpoint and all suggest going to the doctor.I'm not eating anything I haven't eaten all during the years of my morbid obesity I would consider 300 at 16 morbidly obese, hmm? If anything, portion control that is, smaller portions.

I recently had a baby 3 months ago and gained almost 60 lbs with my pregnancy. I have been consistently eating healthy and working out for 7 weeks and have lost 30 lbs but the remaining weight is not coming off. I plan to keep up diet and exercise and it will eventually come off, but I have a big event to go to in a week and was wondering if anyone knows of a safe way to lose up to 10 lbs in a week. Is there any safe fasting diets or something along those lines that I can do for a week and then after my event return to my regular diet and exercise?
