Would you do weight loss surgery again?
I am considering weight loss surgery gastric bypass or sleeve . I am scared of the loose skin, but I've also had several people tell me they lost weight the traditional, slower way 2 3 lbs per week and still have loose skin. My question is with your experience and what you know now, would you do weight loss surgery again?

Which weight loss surgery is the most effective and safest?
Hi Guys,I'm 18 and weigh around 220 pounds 16 stones. . I have always been overweight and then I had a baby and it got worse. I have tried literally everything and me and my mum must have spent at least 1500 in weight loss programmes, pills, gym memberships etc. I want to lose 80 90 pounds. 6 stones I have really slim legs and they're probably the only part of myself that I like, so I'm thinking I would only want fat removed from my stomach, arms and maybe neck. Because of this, I think liposuction may be the best as I can pick where I want the fat removed from. Gastric Bands Bypasses Balloons all sound so scary and risky and I have read in several places that there is a 1 in 40 death rate for the bypass I'm not big enough to qualify for the band on the NHS, and simply can not afford the nearly 8000 most places charge. So, what are your opinions on surgery abroad?I'll tell you my issues with each surgery and you can tell me what you think Lipo Results just don't seem very effective. I also worry that because it is a removal of fat and not something that stops hunger, it may be easy for the fat to just build back up again? I would obviously try my hardest to keep it from coming back, but it hasn't worked for the last 4 years so I'm a bit worried.Band Cost and Risk? What are your opinions?Bypass Same as above?Balloon Same worries as Lipo as it gets removed after 6 months. I just want something that works. If I am going to be spending thousands of pounds on something, I want to look at myself and think " wow " and it be so noticeable that other people comment.. and I don't want to be waking up every day being scared that I'll be leaving my son because I'm going to die or something crazy I really don't know what to do. My cousin is about 6'3 and near 400 pounds. He told me he wants to get some type of surgery but he really knows nothin about health or medicine eats unhealthy and never works out. Hi, I'm a 35 year old female who has a BMI of 40. I'm also an insulin dependant diabetic. On speaking to my diabetic nurse recently regarding my dreadful weight and unsuccessful attempts at weight loss, she informed me I may be eligible for a gastric band or bypass.I'm interested in knowing people's views on this surgery, from those that have had it done. Most importantly I'm wanting to know if anyone has regretted having the surgery. I've read up on all the pros and cons, and I shall be asking the surgeon hundreds of questions and taking my husband with me too as I believe it will affect the whole family, but I'm also interested in people's personal views too.I have spent many months at WW and other such places, and the weight is going nowhere, in spite of my best efforts, and I seriously do mean my best efforts. The frustration was immense, I'd be crying every week wondering what I'm doing wrong, hence why I want to move onto something more permanent and with better results. I've also read that in 90 % of patients with type II diabetes it actually reverses the diabetes which is amazing.Thanks for reading and any advice information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am 20 years old, 5'2" , 240lbs. I've always been over weight. And I've always been on a diet. I can't lose weight not matter how I try. I've been thinking about surgery for a long time now and I think im ready to talk to a doctor about it. I just don't know which type of doctor to go visit.. or which type of surgeon for that matter. I'm having vertical sleeve surgery in a couple of months and I know this sounds dumb, but I'm slightly embarrassed by it. I'm only 19 and I don't want my friends to know just yet. So, I need to know of a different type of surgery that effects the stomach or area around the stomach that is equally or less severe than WLS. Everyone will end of knowing that I had a surgery if I'm in pain for a couple of weeks so I want to tell them that it's something different, you know? Just for now at least. So any ideas?
How would I go about getting financial help for weight-loss surgery with PCOS?
I am 22 years old, soon to be 23 and I've struggled with my weight since the day I came out of the womb. I've suffered with PCOS since I was 13, and am even more over weight now and have very severe hirusitsm. I've been a vegetarian for almost 5 years now and at the beginning of January 2011 I even went vegan and still am. I lost 50lbs at first which brought me down to 215 pounds. I'm starting to gain it all back even though I am eating vegan food healthy vegan food and still nothing.2 years ago I went to a Gastric Bypass specialist and he told me that I was definitely a candidate. Problem was that my insurance wouldn't cover it for me even with my BMI at 37.9 , being insuline resistant, oh and I apparently don't have high cholesterol um duh I don't eat animals, nor dairy . I am a full time photography student , and my father pays for my education housing. doesn't mean he's loaded and can pay for my surgery He's a middle class hair stylist. I don't have a job nobody wants to hire me so it is critical that I have a cosigner on a loan which would be my dad. Even with him being a cosigner and me meeting the qualifications for this procedure I can't get approved for a loan, my dad would have had better credit if my mother didn't go bat shit crazy on credit cards before they split up. I have absolutely no clue as to what I'm going to do now. PLEASE has anyone faced a very similar situation and was able to get the weight loss surgery ? I want the gastric sleeve.
